Hounds Tooth's self-titled debut album is pure home cookin', seasoned with a hint of Susan Tedeschi and John Lee Hooker. Hounds Tooth is defined by the soul-rousing vocals of Miss Jamie Brace. Jamie’s voice is complimented by guitar playing that ranges from tasty and restrained licks to on the edge modern blues-rock. The solid rhythm section’s pocket playing sets the groove for the band.
Produced by the legendary Steve Cohen, Hounds Tooth's first album boasts seven soul-rockin' originals including "Let It Roll", "All Over You" and "Just Enough Naughty"; and three timeless covers: "Rock Me Right", "Little By Little" and "Boom Boom."
This Milwaukee-based band got its start in early 2006 and quickly earned the respect of blues enthusiasts everywhere. Hounds Tooth was honored as Milwaukee 's Best Blues Band for 2006 and Jamie Brace was honored as Best Female Vocalist for 2007 by readers of the Shepherd Express. With Jamie Brace on vocals, JD Optekar and Michael Jon Kay on guitar, Chris Peck on bass and Jeff Oscarson on drums, Hounds Tooth unveils its craft and rekindles the spirit.
